ASSILASSIME

ASSILASSIME
Lomé, Togo

ASSILASSIME Solidarité was created in 2012 by the French NGO Entrepreneurs du Monde and received its approval for credit in 2015 and savings in 2019.

The MFI offers group loans (96% of its clientele) and individual loans and supports more than 30,600 micro-entrepreneurs, 91% of whom are women in urban areas. The institution is mainly active in Lomé and its surroundings through its 9 branches and 130 employees.

Assilassimé has a very social vocation with the vision of allowing anyone wishing to undertake to be able to fulfill their dream for themselves and their family. To do this, Assilassimé offers sustainable access to social microfinance services adapted for vulnerable people with limited access to traditional financial institutions in order to enable them to carry out income-generating activities and improve their living conditions.

The institution is also expanding, and this to rural areas where 15% of clients are located. For them, a new credit has been developed: the agricultural credit. This is based on the expertise of technical agricultural advisers present in each rural branch.

In addition, Assilassimé also offers non-financial services such as:

  • Modules on the fundamentals: savings, responsibility, management, rights and duties, etc.
  • Training: stock management, price calculation, cash management, customer relations, diversification, preventing over-indebtedness, risks, etc.
  • Health, social and environmental themes: women’s rights, pregnancy and breastfeeding advice, child rearing, HIV and STIs, disease prevention and vaccines, fuel poverty, husband/wife relationships, nutrition, etc.
