Microfinance and education

An alliance for development

It’s September, it is time for children to go back to school. however, education is a human right that many children and young people living in developing countries have limited access.

Combine microfinance and education allows us to reach a very specific part of this population while having an impact on the family and the community of these young people. Education is a key stage in everyone’s life that often helps break the cycle of poverty. The link between microfinance and education results in a positive impact at various levels such as: the increase of basic education; savings to finance education; credit for university studies; financial education; the funding for schools and professional integration. LMDF contributes through several partnerships in seven different countries, that the children of funded micro-entrepreneurs have the right to education.
