AMC – Honduras
Created in 2007 by Inversiones Confianza, AMC showed a positive profitability from the beginning of its activities. The holding company Inversiones Confianza was established by ADEL Morazan, the founder NGO of AMC – El Salvador, an MFI also financed by LMDF.
Today, the institution mainly covers the south of the territory and its mission is to be an MFI that provides specialized services to micro and small businesses, entrepreneurs and self-employed with low income at regional and national level, operating according a socially and economically sustainable model that guarantees its existence in the long term, strength and satisfaction of customers and employees.
The products offered by AMC Honduras are adequate to finance micro-entrepreneurs, core target of the MFI. The frequency of repayment is flexible enough to accommodate different activities funded.
79% of the borrowers live in rural areas, with an average disbursed loan of EUR 930. The MFI supports a total of 4,949 clients across 6 branches.
