The Microcredit Company « Credit Systems » started operating as a credit organisation in 2007 and was converted to Salym Finance in 2012. One year later, the company received a license of the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic on the state re-registration of legal entity.

Salym Finance has as vision and mission to: provide financial services to the population for its benefit and development; improve the living conditions of the clients and improve their businesses; and improve access to credit and facilitate repayment processes, with reasonable interest rates.

The MFI finances over 7,700 clients of which 47% are female. Salym Finance mainly supports individuals with limited income coming from rural areas (66%) or urban peripheries. Different products are offered to their clients: housing loans (27%), consumer loans (19%), agro loans (37%) and business loans (18%). For the future, Salym is planning to develop savings/deposit products to be launched first at the main branch in Bishkek.

Salym also cares about the respect of its employees. It does regular satisfaction survey and integrated the “Good HR practices” as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility. 64% of the employees are women and 67% of employees with management positions are female as well.
