This Privacy Notice is issued in relation to Investing for Development SICAV (the “Fund”) and its two sub-funds, the Luxembourg Microfinance and Development Fund and the Forestry and Climate Change Fund, in the context of the GDPR.

The following privacy policy defines and explains how the Luxembourg Microfinance and Development Fund (LMDF) uses and protects the information you give us, if any, when you use our website at: https://www.lmdf.lu/ (hereinafter the “Site”).

Please note that this privacy policy may be modified or supplemented at any time by LMDF, to comply with any legislative, regulatory, jurisprudential, or technological changes. In such case, the date of update will be clearly shown at the beginning of this policy. These modifications will be binding on the User as soon as they are published online. It is therefore advisable that the User regularly consults this privacy policy and the use of cookies to be aware of any changes.

1- Who is the controller of your personal information?

As required by applicable data protection legislation, we inform you that we are (in most cases) the controller of the personal information we collect, receive and otherwise process about you as described below. Such legislation includes Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (the “GDPR”) and any other national or supranational statutory law applicable to us (together the “data protection legislation”).

We may also act as a processor in specific circumstances where we receive strict and detailed instructions to process personal information on behalf of third parties.

2- Why do we process this information?

The information you entered on www.lmdf.lu is stored for processing by Google Analytics (visitor statistics, newsletter, list of publications, etc.). The following information is recorded: the IP address (the internet address of your computer), the date and time of your visit, the type of computer, the browser and the operating system you use, the URLs Web sites that referred you to the site you take through the website. Personal data will only be processed by LMDF in order to allow you to use informative tools, to be able to perform statistical processing and to carry out emailing campaigns. They will not be used for any other purpose and will not be stored in our systems beyond the time necessary to achieve this objective.

Your personal data is not shared with third parties for commercial purposes. LMDF may make your data available to third parties acting on its behalf. Their access is limited to the information necessary to carry out their mission for us. LMDF is working with Mailchimp for sending its newsletter. 3- How long do we keep personal information?

LMDF will retain your Personal Information only for the time required for the purposes for which it was collected, which may not in any event exceed 24 months.

4- What are data subjects’ rights regarding their personal information?

Subject to the conditions of the Data Protection Legislation, and where relevant, data subjects have the following rights:

  • The right to restrict processing
